ARN shifts to the cloud
CASE STUDY: See how ARN (Australian Radio Network) seamlessly migrated to Microsoft Teams Calling in 24 days, saving $1M in CAPEX.
Staying up to date with technology is crucial for the Australian Radio Network (ARN). The company has a strong track record of implementing tailored solutions that enhance both employee and listener experiences, ultimately driving business success and benefiting shareholders.
With ageing technology and the impending shutdown of its Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), ARN faced the challenge of migrating its phone system within just 24 days. Partnering with Telstra and Platinum Technology, ARN successfully transitioned to Microsoft Teams Calling with Microsoft Operator Connect via Telstra in record time – without any disruptions.
Telstra and Platinum Technology took a proactive approach to problem-solving, effectively mitigating risks and ensuring a seamless migration process. This support also played a crucial role in quickly resolving any post-migration issues.
Change management was a key focus of the project. Platinum Technology provided remote training for the ARN IT team on managing Teams Calling and guided ARN staff on its usage. Additionally, comprehensive Teams Calling User and Admin Guides were developed to support the transition.
The migration was successfully completed within the 24-day deadline, with no technical failures or disruptions to daily operations – making it a resounding success.
“We had a look at the market and Platinum Technology
was the best vendor for us. And as a Telstra partner,
they could drive the outcome we wanted with Telstra.”
